Biography

Kevin is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Certified Aboriginal Finance Manager and holds a Certificate in Project Management. Kevin has extensive experience in Project Management/Property Management with affordable housing, and commercial/residential development. Kevin has demonstrated successful experience working with BC Housing, CMHC, VIHA, Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC), numerous municipalities, First Nations and conventional lenders to secure a variety of projects and funding including affordable rental housing, assisted living, and supportive housing. Kevin is the Chief Executive Officer of the M’akola Group of Societies (since 1997). Kevin has navigated the Society through massive expansion (nearly tripling to nearly 1,600 housing units and 100 employees) throughout most of the Province of BC, and has successfully guided the transformation of the organization to accommodate explosive growth and diversified its revenue sources to ensure M’akola’s continued success. Kevin has led the expansion of the M’akola Group through strategic, mutually beneficial partnerships with both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal organizations and is focused on growth, diversification (M’akola Development Services), operational efficiency and positive transformative change.
