Biography
Angela Gerbrandt has worked in the field of non-profit housing for fifteen years with a focus on research, policy and program development. Her entry into the field came through conducting an evaluation for a non-profit housing provider in Guatemala in 2010 and her interest has expanded in many directions since then. She began working with Manitoba Housing on the legal side of the corporation and then shifted to the Strategic Initiatives policy branch where she is currently a Senior Policy Analyst. Recent projects include the co-design of Manitoba’s rent bank program, analysis of Manitoba Housing’s major asset and management transfer, and redesigning Manitoba Housing’s rental programs to better serve tenants coming from homelessness.
Angela has a master’s degree in public administration, is a huge fan of walkable neighbourhoods and stays active through team sports and running around with her three school-aged sons.
