Duncan Hill P. Eng is the Manager of Housing Needs Research (Technical) group in the Policy and Innovation sector of Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation. He manages a team of technical researchers that investigates how to better meet the needs of Canadians through improved design, construction, operation and renewal of affordable housing. The group supports research on the post-occupancy performance of buildings to develop knowledge on the costs and benefits of innovative technologies and practices. Previously, Duncan managed groups within CMHC responsible for researching sustainable housing and communities, improved housing technologies and practices, and, healthy housing. Prior to joining CMHC, Duncan worked in a consulting engineering firm that researched, diagnosed and solved building performance problems.
