Kevin Albers
Biography
Kevin plays an important role in the future of affordable housing and is well-known for leading with innovative ideas and creative solutions through strategic partnerships.
Kevin is the CEO of both M’akola Housing Society and M’akola Development Services Society. Kevin has worked with many Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities to create on and off-reserve affordable housing.
Kevin leads a development team building over 4,400 affordable homes across British Columbia through various partnerships with Indigenous Nations, Federal, Provincial, and Municipal governments. He also leads a team operating nearly 1,900 Indigenous affordable homes (with an additional 1,100 new homes being added to the portfolio over the next few years) across British Columbia.
Kevin is the Chair of Housing Partnerships Canada. Kevin is a Chartered Professional Accountant, a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing Canada and received the British Columbia Community Achievement Award in 2018.
