Biography

Lilian is an immigrant, mother, and women of colour, who is passionate about creating thriving communities where everyone feels they belong and has a safe, secure, affordable place they can call home. Lilian is the CEO of Entre Nous Femmes Housing Society, one of Canada’s first women-led community housing organizations that began 40 years ago by three single-mothers who wanted to improve their lives and other single mothers and their families. Today, Lilian is leading the transformation of the Society to provide more affordable homes for women, single-parents, seniors, people with disabilities, and indigenous and other equity-deserving groups in the Metro Vancouver, British Columbia. Lilian has extensive experience in urban and community planning, public engagement, affordable housing development and finance, social finance, and social-purpose real estate development. She has worked with municipalities and government agencies, First Nations, non-profit housing organizations, Vancity Credit Union and Vancity Community Foundation. She is a Board Director for the Hiyám ta Sḵwxwú7mesh Housing Society with the Squamish Nation, the BC Non-Profit Housing Association, the Law Foundation of BC, and an Advisory Council Member of the Boann Social Impact Fund. She is grateful to live and play with her family on the beautiful traditional, unceded and stolen territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and the səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
