Biography
Michelle Boileau is the 10th person to serve as Mayor for the City of Timmins, and has served on municipal council since 2018.
In addition to her local appointments, Michelle represents the region as chair of the Northern Ontario Service Deliverers Association (NOSDA). She is President of the Association francophone des municipalités de l’Ontario (AFMO), and also serves on the boards of directors for the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) and the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM).
Michelle’s professional experience in education, employment, and immigration services is reflected in the work she does to promote cultural and economic diversity. She has a Master of Research (M. Res.) degree in Educational and Social Research from the University of London (UK), as well as an Honours Bachelor’s (Hon. B.A.) degree from the University of Ottawa.
