Biography

Laurent Odjick is an Algonquin from the community of Kitigan Zibi and has a bachelor’s degree in business administration as well as a certificate in commercial credit. Having previously worked as a senior account manager at the Native Commercial Credit Corporation (SOCCA) for 17 years, he joined the SIRCAAQ as the executive director in 2021. His long experience in developing and financing businesses and housing projects among First Nations provides him with an excellent knowledge and strategic vision for indigenous housing in urban areas. He is also a member of the board of directors of the National Indigenous Collaborative Housing Inc. (NICHI) who’s mission is to represent all Indigenous organizations specializing in urban housing across Canada.
